LIVEBETTER: 3rd Annual Community Health Fair

On Saturday, September 25, 2025, LIVEBETTER team members participated in their 3rd community table at the Community Health Fair in New Haven, CT. The event was held at Scantlebury Park and organized by Yale’s Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI). The day was filled with sunshine, music, food, and fun activities, including Zumba, while community members stopped by to learn more about heart health.

During the event, Jackie Sandoval and Omar Guerrero, LIVEBETTER Research Coordinators, spent time connecting with people in the community. Jackie and Omar helped check blood pressure and shared helpful tips on how to take care of the heart, while encouraging healthy  habits. The team enjoyed answering questions, supporting community members, and being part of another successful health fair focused on wellness and heart health.

Events like this allow the LIVEBETTER team to build trust, share helpful health information, and connect directly with the community. By meeting people where they live and gather, the team continues its commitment to promoting heart health, supporting wellness, and strengthening community partnerships in New Haven. These community outreach efforts are made possible with the support of the LIVEBETTER Diversity Council members, who also serve as Yale Cultural Ambassadors within Yale’s Center for Clinical Investigation.
